Our Fundamental Beliefs
I. Lordship of Christ
We submit to the authority and lordship of Jesus Christ and to the counsel of the Holy Spirit, so that by His grace we will become more like Christ.
(I Corinthians 11:1)
We believe in disciple-making as a continuous process of bringing individuals to Christ, equipping them in the faith towards spiritual maturity, and empowering them to serve in ministry and lead others to follow Christ.
(John 1:41,42; II Timothy 2:2; Matthew 28:19,20)
II. Inspiring Praise and Worship
We believe in corporate praise and worship to God, to exalt Him with excellence, because we believe that worship is a continuous experience and encounter with the living God who seeks a deep and personal relationship with us.
(I Chronicles 16:29)
VII. Passionate Outreach
We are called to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and thereby, be part of God’s plan of evangelism within our local community as well as through missions beyond our shores.
III. Fervent Prayer
We are committed to fervent prayer for the church, the community and the nations because God hears and answers our prayers and desires for us to relate to Him.
VIII. Empowered Laity
We believe that every believer has spiritual gifts to benefit the church and can be empowered through the primary responsibility of pastors and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of service.
(I Corinthians 12:7)
IV. Caring Community
We want to be a caring, covenant community that is borne out of our loving relationship with Christ and with one another, the result of God’s grace that values every individual as precious, created in His image.
IX. Godly Leadership
We believe in developing the plurality of godly leaders who will lead with passion, vision and humility to fulfill God’s purpose for the church.
(I Timothy 4:7,8)
V. Balanced Church
While we will not compromise the fundamental faith and doctrines of the Holy Bible, we believe in unity through diversity by being open to differing views on the non-essentials, balanced by the instruction of the Word and by the counsel of the Holy Spirit.
X. Biblically Relevant Preaching/Teaching
We are committed to demonstrate the power and relevance of the Bible through preaching and teaching, because we believe that Scripture is God-breathed, useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
(II Timothy 3:16)
